NFT Wearables on VoxEdit: How to sell Your NFT Wearables on The Sandbox Marketplace

NFT wearables are digital items that you can use to customize your avatar in The Sandbox, a virtual world where you can create, play, and monetize your games and experiences. They can have different attributes, such as rarity, quality, design, and functionality. Some NFT wearables can even enhance your avatar’s abilities, such as speed, strength, or creativity.

If you have created or acquired some NFT wearables that you want to sell, you can do so on The Sandbox Marketplace, a decentralized platform where you can buy and sell NFTs from The Sandbox and other compatible projects. The Sandbox marketplace allows you to list your NFT wearables for sale, set your price and terms, and receive payments in SAND, the native cryptocurrency of The Sandbox.

In this article, we will guide you through the steps of selling your NFT wearables on The Sandbox marketplace. You will need the following:

  1. A Sandbox account with a connected wallet
  2. Some SAND and ETH tokens are in your wallet
  3. Some NFT wearables that you own or have created

Step 1: Download and install VoxEdit to create NFT wearables with

If you want to create your own voxel-based NFTs, games, or avatars, you need a powerful and easy-to-use tool that can handle 3D modelling and animation. That’s why you need VoxEdit, the leading software that allows you to create, rig, and animate your voxel-based NFT wearables.

  • To get started with VoxEdit, you need to download and install it on your computer. VoxEdit is compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems, and it is free to use. You can download it from the official website or the GitBook page. The download file is about 200 MB in size, and it will take a few minutes to complete.
  • Once you have downloaded the file, you need to run it and follow the installation instructions. You will be asked to agree to the terms and conditions, choose a destination folder, and create a shortcut on your desktop. The installation process is quick and easy, and it will create a VoxEdit folder in your program files.
  • After the installation is done, you can launch VoxEdit from the shortcut on your desktop or the start menu. You will see a welcome screen that gives you some options to start creating. You can choose to create a new project, open an existing project, or browse the tutorials and resources. Congratulations! You have successfully downloaded and installed VoxEdit! Now you are ready to unleash your creativity and make amazing voxel creations.

Step 2: Choose a template or start from scratch in VoxEdit to start creating your NFT wearables

If you have downloaded and installed VoxEdit, then you can start creating your voxel models and animations. There are two ways to do this: you can either choose a template or start from scratch.

  • If you choose a template, you can use one of the predefined models that VoxEdit provides, such as a character, a vehicle, a weapon, or a building. You can then customize the template by changing its colours, shapes, and details. You can also add or remove parts of the model to suit your needs. By doing so, you can save time and gain inspiration from the existing models.
  • If you start from scratch, you can create your model from zero using the voxel editor. You can use the tools to draw, erase, paint, and sculpt voxels in 3D space. You can also import and export models from other voxel editors, such as MagicaVoxel or Qubicle. This way, you can have full control and creativity over your NFT Wearables model and make it unique, which you started to create in VoxEdit.

Step 3: Model your NFT wearables using the tools and features in VoxEdit

To model your wearable, you need to follow these steps:

  • Open VoxEdit and create a new project. Choose the template that matches the body part of your wearable, such as the head, torso, legs, or feet.
  • Use the modeller tool to sculpt your wearable using voxels. You can add, remove, paint, and transform voxels to create any shape and colour you want. You can also use the mirror tool to make symmetrical shapes.
  • Use the rigging tool to attach your wearable to the skeleton of the template. You can adjust the position, rotation, and scale of your wearable to fit the body part. You can also add joints and bones to make your wearable flexible and movable.
  • Use the animator tool to test your wearable in different poses and animations. You can use the timeline and key frames to create custom animations for your wearable. You can also preview how your wearable looks in different lighting conditions and backgrounds.
  • Export your wearable as a GLB file and upload it to The Sandbox’s marketplace. You can then mint it as an NFT and sell it for $SAND, the main utility token of The Sandbox.

Step 4: Rig and animate your wearable using the skeleton system

In this step, you will learn how to rig and animate your wearable using the skeleton system in VoxEdit, a 3D modelling and animation program designed for creating voxel-based assets for The Sandbox. Rigging is the process of attaching a skeleton to your model, which allows you to control its movements and poses. Animation is the process of creating a sequence of frames that show how your model changes over time.

To rig your wearable, you need to open it in the Animator mode of VoxEdit. You can either create a new skeleton from scratch or use one of the predefined skeletons that match the body parts of your wearable. For example, if your wearable is a hat, you can use the head skeleton. If your wearable is a pair of shoes, you can use the foot skeleton. You can also customize the skeleton by adding, deleting, or moving bones.

To animate your wearable, you need to use the timeline and the key framing mode of VoxEdit. The timeline shows the duration and frames of your animation. The key framing mode allows you to set the position and rotation of each bone at different frames. You can also adjust the speed and ease of your animation by using the curve editor. You can preview your animation by playing it in the viewport or exporting it as a GIF file.

By rigging and animating your wearable using the skeleton system in VoxEdit, you can make it more expressive and dynamic. You can also use your animation as a preview of how your wearable will look in The Sandbox, a gaming platform where you can create, sell, and buy game assets, equip them with player avatars, and sell them in The Sandbox’s marketplace.

Step 5: Export and mint your wearable as an NFT

Firstly, you need to have a VoxEdit account and a Metamask wallet. Your VoxEdit account is where you can access the VoxEdit software and the Sandbox marketplace, where you can sell your NFTs. The Metamask wallet is where you can store and manage your Ethereum and SAND tokens, which are used for minting and buying NFTs. You can create a VoxEdit account and a Metamask wallet here.

Secondly, you need to export your wearable from VoxEdit to the Sandbox marketplace. To do this, open VoxEdit and select the wearable that you want to export. Then, click on the “Export” button in the top-right corner of the screen. You will see a pop-up window where you can name your wearable, add a description, choose a category, and set a price. You can also add tags and a thumbnail image for your wearable. Once you are done, click on the “Export” button again and wait for the confirmation message.

Thirdly, you need to mint your wearable as an NFT on the Ethereum blockchain. To do this, go to the Sandbox marketplace and log in with your VoxEdit account. You will see your wearable under the “My Assets” tab. Click on the “Mint” button next to your wearable and confirm the transaction on Metamask. The minting process in Ethereum requires a gas fee, which varies based on network congestion and wearable complexity.

Fourth, to list your wearable for sale on the Sandbox marketplace, navigate to the “My Assets” tab, click “Sell” button, set price, currency, and sale duration, confirm transaction on Metamask, and pay a gas fee for listing.

Congratulations! You have successfully exported and minted your wearable as an NFT in VoxEdit. You can now share your NFT with others and earn money from selling it on the Sandbox marketplace.

NFT Wearables on VoxEdit: How to sell Your NFT Wearables on The Sandbox Marketplace

NFT wearables can have different attributes, such as rarity, quality, design, and functionality.

Step 1: Create an account and connect your wallet

The Sandbox Marketplace is a decentralized platform where you can discover, buy, and sell NFTs from The Sandbox and other compatible projects. You can also use the marketplace to publish and sell your creations using the VoxEdit software or the Game Maker tool. To access the marketplace, you need to create an account on The Sandbox website and connect a cryptocurrency wallet that supports the Ethereum blockchain.

In this part, we will guide you through the steps of creating an account and connecting a wallet on The Sandbox marketplace. You will need the following:

  • A device with internet access
  • An email address or a social media account
  • A cryptocurrency wallet that supports Ethereum

Visit The Sandbox website

The first step is to visit The Sandbox website. You will see a homepage with various sections, such as games, shop, create, events, and community. You can explore these sections to learn more about The Sandbox and its features.

To create an account, you need to click on the “Sign Up” button in the top-right corner of the homepage. You will see a pop-up window with different options for registering.

Choose a registration option

The second step is to choose a registration option that suits your preferences. You have three options:

Connect your wallet: This option allows you to register your account through your cryptocurrency wallet. You will need to select which wallet you have or wish to create, such as MetaMask or Bitski. This option is recommended for users who are familiar with blockchain technology and want to have full control of their funds and assets.
Google (Gmail): This option allows you to register your account through your Google account. You will need to provide your Gmail address and password. This option is convenient for users who already have a Google account and want a quick and easy registration process.
Social network: This option allows you to register your account through your social media account, such as Facebook or Twitter. You will need to provide your social media credentials and grant permission to The Sandbox. This option is suitable for users who want to use their existing social media profiles and connect with other users.

Set your username, password, and email

The third step is to set your username, password, and email for your account. You will need to enter this information in the pop-up window after choosing your registration option.

Your username is how you will be identified on The Sandbox website and marketplace. As long as it’s available and not currently in use by someone else, you can choose whatever name you choose. Your username can be changed later in your profile settings.

Your password is how you will protect your account from unauthorized access. You should choose a strong password that is hard to guess for others. Your password should be at least 8 characters long and include letters, numbers, and symbols. You should not share your password with anyone or use the same password for other websites.

Your email is how you will receive notifications from The Sandbox, such as about pending rewards, support requests, or updates. You should provide a valid email address that you have access to. Your email can be changed later in your profile settings.

Connect your wallet

The final step is to connect your cryptocurrency wallet to your account. A wallet is software that manages your cryptocurrencies and allows you to interact with blockchain technologies, such as Ethereum. You need a wallet to buy and sell NFTs on The Sandbox marketplace, as well as to receive payments in SAND, the native currency of The Sandbox.

To connect your wallet, you need to go to the “Wallet” section of your profile settings. You will see a list of supported wallets, such as MetaMask or Bitski. You can choose any wallet that you prefer, as long as it supports Ethereum.

Furthermore, you will need to follow the instructions on the screen to link your wallet to your account. Depending on the wallet that you choose, you may need to install an extension on your browser, create an account on the wallet website, or scan a QR code with your mobile device.

Once you have connected your wallet, you will be able to see your balance of SAND and ETH tokens in your profile settings. You will also be able to view and manage your NFT assets in the “My Assets” section of the marketplace.

Step 2: Upload your NFT wearable and set the price and royalties

Now, we will show you how to upload your NFT wearable and set the price and royalties on The Sandbox marketplace, where you can reach millions of potential buyers and earn passive income from your creations.

Create your NFT wearable

The first step is to create your NFT wearable using VoxEdit, a free and easy-to-use voxel editor that allows you to design 3D models and animations. You can download VoxEdit here.

To create a wearable, you need to follow the guidelines and specifications provided by The Sandbox team. You can find them here. You need to make sure that your wearable fits the avatar’s body parts, has the correct size and orientation, and does not exceed the polygon limit.

Once you have created your wearable, you need to export it as a GLB file, which is a 3D model format that can be used for NFTs.

Upload your NFT wearable

The next step is to upload your NFT wearable to The Sandbox marketplace, where you can list it for sale and set the price and royalties. To do this, you need to have a MetaMask wallet, which is a browser extension that allows you to interact with the blockchain. You can download MetaMask here.

After installing MetaMask, you need to connect it to The Sandbox website and create an account. Then, you need to go to the marketplace page and click on the “Create” button. This will open a form where you can upload your GLB file and add a name, description, tags, and category for your wearable. You can also preview how it looks on the avatar.

Set the price and royalties

The final step is to set the price and royalties for your NFT wearable. The price is the number of SAND tokens that you want to sell your wearable for. Sand is the native currency of The Sandbox ecosystem, which you can buy or earn by playing games or completing quests. You can also use SAND to buy land parcels, game assets, or other wearables on the marketplace.

The royalties are the percentage of SAND that you will receive every time your wearable is resold on the secondary market. For example, if you set a 10% royalty rate and someone buys your wearable for 100 SAND and then sells it for 200 SAND, you will receive 20 SAND as a royalty fee.

You can set any price and royalty rate that you want, but keep in mind that they will affect the demand and supply of your wearable. A higher price or royalty rate might deter some buyers, while a lower price or royalty rate might attract more buyers but reduce your profit margin.

Once you have set the price and royalties, you need to click on the “Publish” button and confirm the transaction on MetaMask. This will mint your NFT wearable on the blockchain and list it on The Sandbox marketplace.

Congratulations! You have successfully uploaded your NFT wearable and set the price and royalties on The Sandbox marketplace. Now you can wait for someone to buy it or promote it on social media or other platforms. You can also browse other wearables on the marketplace and buy or trade them with other creators. Have fun exploring The Sandbox!

Step 3: Publish your NFT wearables that you created in VoxEdit and promote it

You have created your own NFT wearable using VoxEdit, the official 3D modelling tool for The Sandbox. Now you want to share it with the world and earn some SAND, the native cryptocurrency of The Sandbox. How do you do that? Follow these simple steps to publish your NFT wearable and promote it on the Sandbox Marketplace.

  • Firstly, you need to export your NFT wearable from VoxEdit to the Sandbox Asset Minting page. This is where you can turn your 3D model into a unique and verifiable NFT on the Ethereum blockchain. You will need some SAND and ETH to pay for the gas fees and the minting process. You can buy SAND from various exchanges or from the Sandbox website.
  • Secondly, fill in NFT wearable details like name, description, category, rarity, price, and tags for more discoverability on Marketplace, using accurate information reflecting quality and uniqueness.
  • Thirdly, submit your NFT wearable for Sandbox team approval to meet quality standards, receive notification, and list on Marketplace for sale if approved.
  • Finally, promote your NFT wearable on various platforms like social media, forums, blogs, podcasts, newsletters, and join the Sandbox community for potential buyers and participation in events, contests, giveaways, and collaborations.

By following these steps, you can publish your NFT wearable and promote it on the Sandbox Marketplace. This is a great way to express your creativity, showcase your skills, and earn some SAND in The Sandbox. The Sandbox is a virtual world where players can create, own, and monetize their gaming experiences using NFTs and SAND. You can join The Sandbox today and start creating your own NFT wearables using VoxEdit.
